In the fall of 2018, Mike and Melinda were in a horrific automobile accident in Iowa while hauling horses back from South Dakota. Mike and Melinda are the only survivors out of 5. The accident was life changing and they both feel very blessed to be alive.
In 2019, Mike and Melinda purchased a log home on 40 acres. The past 4 years, they have been recovering from the injuries related to the accident. With restored health and new appreciation for life, Mike and Melinda are ready to dream again. One of those dreams includes creating an equestrian center to share with others.
Melinda grew up in Rush County with a dream of owning her own horses some day. Today, Melinda is an accomplished horse women and enjoys interacting with her four
grulla quarter horses and one miniature grulla horse. She enjoys trail riding, liberty work, and trick training with her horses.
